Our Swirl Large White Vase is made by a group of women who live at the border of Burma and Thailand. They reproduce this shape to mimic the intricate cactus plant using black terracotta. The result is very interesting, as it certainly has the feel of a cactus vase but it is just as easily an Art Deco design.

Item Description
The Plavan Jar Set includes three lidded offering boxes with luminous brass rings running the circumference of the bottom, the top, and along each edge where the lid meets the jar. The electric blue pattern that seems to drip along the surface of each jar is actually painted by hand. Proving that these pieces are artisanal in their creation, some brushstrokes show the culmination point where the artist lifted the brush on the lighter oblong shapes, the action leaving a darker spot at that point. Though these blue decorative jars were inspired by centuries-old designs, they have a surprisingly contemporary feel.
