The Agave White Object was inspired by the flourishing plant of the same name, whose spiky, leathery fronds curl up from the ground just as the oversized leaves on this white sculpture do. “My love of the Agave plant, of which hundreds of varieties flourish in the Yucatan, has inspired me for many years,” says the table’s designer Marjorie Skouras. Her passion for the Yucatan Peninsula, the surroundings in which she lives and through which she translates the flora and fauna into dynamic products in her studio, shines in this large wrought-iron sculpture covered in a crisp gesso white finish.
